SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS
1. SAAT RVM SCHOLARSHIP
To enflesh the school’s mission of intensifying scholarship program for the poor, the Religious Community of St. Anthony’s Academy of Tuburan, Inc. provided a scholarship grant to students who desire to avail of quality Ignacian Marian Education. The scholarship is made available to 2% of the total number of enrollment for the school year. This grant is enjoyed only for a year and is renewed upon evaluation of the student’s academic and disciplinary performance.
Criteria for Selection:
has no grades lower than 80% in all subject areas in all grading periods
has no disciplinary problem
not enjoying any form of other scholarships
has no siblings enjoying the same scholarship
less fortunate but deserving students
2. EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CONTRACTING (ESC Gr.7-10) Program
This financial aid is a government subsidy administered by PEAC (Private Education Assistance Committee) formerly called FAPE (Fund for Assistance to Private Education). The Financial assistance is determined by the government. The grant is continuously availed from Grade 7 to Grade 10 as long as the student gets no failing grades or does not transfer to a non ESC participating school.
ESC SUBSIDY GUIDELINE
The subsidy covers four (4) years of Junior High School starting from Grade 7.
Incoming Grade 7 students from public and private schools must fill-up the ESC application and contract form at the Registrar’s Office.
The grant remains in force for the next school year if the grantee is promoted to the next grade level and enrolled in an ESC-participating JHS.
The subsidy is transferable provided that the school the student transferred is also an ESC participating school. However, in cases when the applicable subsidy amount of the releasing school is different from that of the accepting school, the accepting school will be paid the lower of the two applicable subsidy amounts.
Transferee students who are incoming Grade 8, 9 and 10 from private schools, a certification from the previous school indicating the ESC school ID number and ESC student ID number must be submitted to the registrar upon enrolment.
Transferee students who are incoming Grade 8, 9 and 10 from public schools cannot avail the subsidy.
Grantees that drop out due to a death of a parent or guardian, force majeure, prolonged illness, or accident may be reinstated into the ESC program provided they submit documents to support their claim.
The grant is terminated if a grantee does any of the following:
Drops out for non-health reasons in the middle of the school year.
Did not re-enroll the following school year.
Fails to be promoted to the next grade level or is retained at the same grade level.
Is suspended for more than two (2) weeks, dismissed or expelled by the school for disciplinary reasons.
Transfers to a non-ESC participating JHS.
